The whole process of replacing CJ Mutunga is about to receive quite a beating after a Businessman from Nairobi Abraham Kiplangat Mutai popularly known blogger on twitter as @ItsMutai filed affidavits at JSC raising what he terms as serious integrity issues on the two candidates of the post of Chief Justice, Nzamba Kitonga and Smokin Wanjala.
Mr Abraham Mutai wants the CJ to declare the two unfit for the CJ post. Here are the two affidavits. Download for Nzamba Kitonga and for Smokin Wanjala respectively.
Mr Mutai claims that Nzamba Kitonga’s role during the Goldenberg scandal casts aspersions on his integrity and wants him be declared unfit for CJ.
Meanwhile Mr Mutai has raised serious issues on financial impropriety on Dr Smokin Wanjala. Some of these issues were discussed in parliament and resolutions were made. These resolutions were stayed by the court and the matter is pending.
